Pasta Con Broccoli

This is my mom's pasta con broccoli. This is a little different than the other pasta con broccoli recipe because this has a little tomato sauce in it.

INGREDIENTS


4 oz. noodles, fettuccine, linguine, or shells
Boiling salted water
1 c. whipping cream
2 Tbsp. butter
½ tsp. minced garlic
Salt and pepper
2 Tbsp. tomato sauce
½ c. broccoli flowerets
¼ c. sliced canned or sautéed mushrooms
¼ grated Parmesan cheese


DIRECTIONS

Cook noodles in boiling water in medium saucepan until ½ done (4 min). Drain and return to pan. Add cream, butter, garlic, tomato sauce, and broccoli and bring to boil over medium heat about 4-5 minutes. When noodles are done, stir in mushrooms to heat. Remove and sprinkle with cheese. Salt and pepper. Toss and serve.
